What are the "Based On" items in your Payroll Software?

Km	When you are paying an employee you will enter the number of kilometres travelled. The kilometres travelled are entered under the % or Units column.

Items	When you are paying an employee you will enter the number of items. (For example, buckets, boxes, etc). The items are entered under the % or Units column.

Hours	When you are paying an employee you will enter the number of hours. The number of hours are entered under the % or Units column.

Wages	When you are paying an employee you want the allowance to be a percentage of the employee wages. Enter the percentage value under the % or Units column.

To pay an allowance based on a percentage of the amount paid, enter the percentage value under the % or Units column. To pay an allowance based on the number of hours paid, enter 0 under the % or Units column. *

* Allowance based on hours worked � Enter 0 in the % or Units column and select a pay rate from the Based On column, the allowance will be calculated as the number of hours worked for that pay rate times the amount entered in the Amount column.
