Taxation rebates as fixed dollar amounts in your Payroll Software

Elite Payroll Software is designed with small business in mind.

Taxation rebates, such as zone rebates or family allowance, can easily be entered as a fixed rebate amount. To enter a rebate:

Calculate the amount of the rebate. You must also check with the ATO to find out if the rebate is allowable each pay period or must be claimed at the end of the year when the employee's tax return is lodged.

From the Lists menu, choose Employees.

Click to select the employee you wish to apply the rebate to.

Click Employee>Edit.

Click Taxation.

In the section labelled Extra Tax Contribution or Rebate (-ve) enter the rebate or extra tax amount. For example -12.50 (The minus sign first for rebates)

Click OK.

Now when you pay the employee this amount will automatically be deducted from the tax each pay period.
