Standard Installation of Elite Payroll Software

Customize the detail you need to see in Elite Payroll Software using preferences.

Before you begin installing Elite Payroll Software, you should shut down all running programs, including virus protection programs. Some virus protection programs can interfere with installation.

To install Elite Payroll Software will take just five minutes—just follow the steps below:

1 Place the CD into your CD-ROM drive and close the tray. Windows will automatically start the installation. The Welcome window appears.

The Welcome to Elite Payroll Software window should open automatically when you close your CD tray, but if it doesn’t, you can use Windows Explorer to locate the file AUTORUN.exe or Setup.exe on the Elite Payroll Software CD. Click on either of these files to start the installation.

Alternatively, from the Windows Start menu, choose Preferences, then Control Panel. Choose Add/Remove Programs and then click the Install button.

2 Click Install – Install Elite Payroll Software to begin the installation process. The Installation Wizard – Welcome window appears.

3 To continue installation of Elite Payroll Software, click Next.

To cancel the installation of Elite Payroll Software, click Cancel.

4 Enter your CD key in the Elite Payroll Software CD Key window. Click Next.

Your CD key can be found on a sticker on the front of your Elite Payroll Software CD jacket.

5 Read the software agreement, scrolling down to view the entire agreement. If you agree with the terms of the licence agreement, click Yes to continue.

6 When the Select Destination Directory appears, make sure that the drive and path are correct and that there is enough space on the hard drive to install Elite Payroll Software. By default Elite Payroll Software is installed to "C:\Program Files\ELITE Payroll Software".

To change the drive and/or path, click Browse. If all details are correct, click Next.

7 When the Ready To Install window appears, click Next to install.

8 Elite Payroll Software will now display the Installing window. This window shows how much of Elite Payroll Software has been installed.

Keeping Elite Payroll Software Current

To use Elite Payroll Software, you should make sure that you have the latest tax scales and the latest upgrade of the program. Occasionally we issue a maintenance release for an existing version of Elite Payroll Software. This can happen if we update a feature or need to change the software to meet some new legislative requirement. Therefore, you should periodically perform an update to ensure that you are always using the most recent release of Elite Payroll Software.

Visit our website periodically for program, help and tax scale updates. Some update files, such as tax scales, Payroll Software tax scales or reports, will only be available if they have changed during the financial year. You can also update PAYG Tax scales manually through the Tax Scales List.
